Travis Penfield

Travis has always possessed an entrepreneurial spirit—an instinct that has shaped both his career trajectory and personal philosophy. A graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a Finance degree from the Mays Business School and graduated Magna Cum Laude, Travis initially pursued what he describes as the “safe route” by beginning his career at Deloitte. However, a personal twist in his post-college journey—and an innate drive for something more—soon led him toward a different path.

Choosing to leave behind a predictable corporate career, Travis embraced the uncertainties of entrepreneurship. This decision reflects his deep belief in the transformative power of one’s twenties. In October 2019, he put this belief into action by stepping away from his role as an Executive Vice President at a financial planning firm to launch his own venture: 49 Financial.

Josh Henson

Josh launched the Houston office in 2020 and has led the team for four years. He says their office is willing to put in the effort to do things while also caring about the people they work with internally and externally.  Their team goes the extra mile to help take care of their clients.

In his career, he's found that financial advisors help people retire comfortably, send their kids to college debt-free, and use their money wisely. They also help alleviate stress from their clients' lives so they can focus on their families, communities, and personal lives.

Outside work, Josh enjoys creating memories with his wife and two sons, playing guitar at his local church, and savoring good food with friends.
